I think high school is existing to offer greater opportunities for the development of the indi- vidual and certainly to prepare him to take ad- vantage of the opportunities of the futuref' says Principal W. E. Watters. During his nine years as principal of Ravenna High School, giving us friendly advice on various problems, we have all had occasion to feel that he is a friend indeed. He has been active in backing scholastic progress among the student body and has obtained many beneficial assemblies for stu- dent enjoyment. It was through his efforts that the school year of 1948 was brought to a suc- cessful close. H. L, BROWN, Supe1'i11tendent Mt. Union - B. S. in Ed. Columbia - M. A. The fact that Mr. Brown has spent 24 of his 28 years of teaching in the Ravenna school system shows that he thoroughly enjoys his work here. We have found that in all of the school under- takings he has supported us wholeheartedly. Through Mr. Brown's leadership and under his direction Ravenna's schools have reached and maintained a high standard of scholastic achieve- ment. Mr. Brown has stated, Each student must sec possibilities in himself, then aim high and work hard to realize his ambitions.
