The Ravenna Bulldogs cornpleted a successful football season winning four and losing four. The highlight of the season was the game where the Bulldogs almost pulled an upset over the highly favored Cedar Red Hawks. 1. The squad will lose seven boys through grad- ' g uation. Bennett, Mang. T. Burton. CO-Captains, Bruce Jones Albert Meyers. Most valuable player, Albert Meyers. Coach Finney Hales's team gave the fans some exciting thrills during the 1954-55 season. Out of the 16 league games played, the Bulldogs won eight and lost eight, losing some by a very close margin. In NCAA competition our fighting Bulldogs took third place. They broke the school's team scoring record when they ma e 1,030 points in 16 games. The highlight of the year was whengour boys won the District harnpionship by defeating White Cloud in a thriller that was fight-to-the finish-for both teams The Bulldogs will travel to Ionia for Regional Tournament play. A new individual scoring record was set when Bruce Jones made 40 points against Hesperia. Bruce led the season, scoring with 280 points. The 1954-55 squad will lose five seniors an will have five returning for the 55-56 season. -
