J 'K, ci , Q. Mr. Santry shows president Edie Leahy one of the many honors won by our Student Council. STUDENT CCUNCIL Our award-winning Student Council brought home more glory in l96O. Those of us who watch Mr. Santry's bulletin board saw the new honors collecting like stars. Our hard working group of student representatives have been cited on the local, state and national level. For their contribution to the school and the community they are the proud recipients of The National Federation of Student Coun- cil Award. The Oracle salutes especially: the Saturday morning car-wash for the benefit of retarded children, the Student Council Schol- arship, the Spring Variety Show and, of course, the Key Club supervision of the stu- dent body before school every morning. Stu- dent Council is the best example that Ran- dolph High School can give of the tact that we train mature, unselfish, responsible young citizens capable of governing themselves, 76 '1 ! The glamour of the Music Department T our Twirlers led busy lives this year as our teams went on to victory after victory, With Edie at the head and Penny trotting along in her little Blue Devil outfit, the smiles and precision ot the twirlers made l96O history. Behind the scenes we had more than glam- our . . . Monday and Tuesday practices in the auditorium, baton lessons to the young hopefuls in the Junior High and Elementary Schools and organization ot the new Drill Team all last summer.
