1966 RAM’S HORN RAMSAY HIGH SCHOOL BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA Dedication Mr. Harry Swanson In appreciation of his pleasant disposition and the competent manner in which he conducts the responsibilities of his job. we are proud to dedicate the 1966 RAM’S HORN to Mr. Harry Swanson, custodian of Ramsay High School for the past twelve years. 2 Mrs. Ruth Scott Parker was an inspiring teacher and gave herself unsparingly to her students. She died in August, 1965, after teaching twelve years at Ramsay. Mrs. Parker did an outstanding job of directing Ramsay choirs, which won many state awards. In addition to her contributions to Ramsay’s music program, she directed many church choirs over a period of several years. For her tireless energies in civic work as well as education she was honored by being named to Who’s Who Among American Women. A graduate of Alabama College, she served on the Board of Trustees and in 1964 was named Alumna of the Year for that institution.
