RAM’S ( J HORN ERSKINE RAMSA Y HIGH SCHOOL Today in the‘South there can be seen many ante-bcIHim homes tiuu ItaW ftodd firm agairist'the changing tides of time. Some of the old homes have been standing .or over a century. These relics of a bygone era are monuments unto themselves - monuments that will live atfTong 3S the Old South lives In the hearts of its people. We. as young Americans, should take note of the example set by these fine old structures. We should build our future on a firm foundation. a foundation consisting of a trust in God and a faith in knowledge. Our foundations should be sturdy so as to enable our future to be as secure as the framework of these lovely old homes. There is a great lesson to be learned from the history of the old Southern home, and we might well build our lives with the following quotation in mind: Three things are to be looked for In a building: that it stand on the right spot; that it bo securely founded; that n be successfully exe- CU,ed- v' - Editor's Message As the year draws to a close, we look back with pleasure upon the events that have filled our cup of memories to overflowing. We have attempted to capture the best and most outstanding of these memories between the covers of the 1963 Ram's Horn. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have a principal as helpful as Mr. J.R. Gardner, Jr. has been; and we cannot adequately express our thanks to our advisor, Mr. Yon Gregory Koski, whose patience and cooperation has always been appreciated. I hope that we have succeeded in our endeavor to present a good annual to you, the students of Ramsay High. With the sincere wish that each of you will find among these pages something special - something you will remember for a long, long time - we give you the 1963 Ram's Horn. Editor Animal Editors Marian Brown. Neil Patterson, Mark Ford, Dawn Lindsey, Bernard Axel, Wanda Weid-man, Danny Dobbs, Lee Etta Tucker, Richard Kessler, Rebecca Peterson, Mr. Yon Koski. There will be the pleasant memories of the Homecoming Dance, of the social whirl entwined with dramatics, literary and athletic competition, and of the satisfaction of achieving goals which had seemed beyond our scope of comprehension. The pleasant memories are those that we cherish and will forever hold dear to our hearts. As your principal, may I extend to each student, teacher, and employee who comprise the school family, my sincere thanks for an outstanding school year. May I wish each of you the best of everything in the future. Sincerely yours. J. R. Gardner, Jr. MISS EDNA DOUGHERTY. Registrar MRS. FRANCES WINFIELD. Assistant Registrar MRS.
