At the Community Center Pool, jim strengthens his stroke. ,nf rig, 0 Ram tough Sink or swim Teams are often like second families. This was especially true for the boys' swim team. The team was highly competitive, said Diver Roger Neal. Only 16 points away from qualifying for state, Roger received a diving injury and was unable to be in their last meet or districts. Roger has been swimming and div- ing for just two years, but was the most outstanding person on the team, according to Coach Jeannie Weihmiller. Senior state-qualifier Chris Murray, along with the rest of the squad, practiced each day under the coaching of Mr. Bob Guthrie. For such a young team we had a really good showing at Dis- rricts, said Chris, who, as captain, himself placed second at the meet. Chris explained that, Coach Guthrie handled the younger run- ners well and let the veterans go at their own speed. He pushed us when we neecled it, though. lRl In uniform
