Parents had good reason to wonder if those little boxes were physically connected to their children, as students found themselves using them for every occasion. Due to the incredible amount of telephone traffic, Rampart stu- dents were presented with a pay phone in the cafeteria. And, ofcourse, Mrs. Trost and Mrs. Barnes would have been lost without their phones to call parents wondering why students had been found in the commons area instead of algebra class.HR ..
