V 3, 'VI' lrwx V '3' D1 f 0' n 1 1 X p Agfa Way back in l9LO, when we were wearlng long curls and short britches, we entered the great Ramona Public School When I say we, I mean Claudine Stephens, Maxine Park, Roy Abel, J R Willcox and Curtis Wilkinson Our first grade teacher, Mrs Carter, started us off on the long road of education which we are still traveling Many have joined us on this road and many have left us on the way We welcomed Raymond Ford and Bob Bennefield in the second grade with Miss Klbler as our teacher Next to jo1n our class were Ima Jean Owens and Jack Goode in the third grade with Miss Jewell Boone as our teacher As we whlzzed through the fourth grade, we gained one new member, Elaine Gifford Miss Daugherty was our teacher We went through the fifth and s1xth grades with M1ss Ola Boone and Mrs Ruby Goode as our teachers In the seventh grade we welcomed Bill Ellis and Jo Pelsue to our class Mrs Grace Juby sponsored us Mrs Blackketter sponsored us in the eighth grade The theme of our banquet was Spring Flowers We had two new members to enroll in our class They were Shirley Shaw and June Billbe The next year we entered our first year of h1gh school with Nelson Stiles and Carl Buoy joining our class from Oglesby Tobe Odell also joined us that year We chose Mrs Evans as our sponsor, whom we kept the first three years in high school Our sophomore year found us not quite so ill at ease We welcomed Shirley Peters from Bartlesvllle to our class The next two years found us w1th the same old bunch In the Junior year Mrs Evans and Mr Justice sponsored us The theme of our banquet was Moonlight and Roses Our carnival was a great success Our Junior play, 'Her Emergency Husbandn, directed by our sponsors, was enjoyed by everyone We elected this year as our class officers June Blllbe, Presldent Claudine Stephens, Vice Presldent, Shirley Peters, Secretary Treasurer and Shirley Shaw, Reporter As our sponsor we chose Mr Arthur Justice Our play this year was 'Bolts and Nutsn, directed by Frs Edna Pierce, English lnstructor Our Senior trip was taken March 13 through 16 Slxteen enjoyed the trip to Oklahoma City This number included our sponsors, Mr and Mrs Justice and bus driver, Mr Norris Cox A tear dims our eyes as we think of bidding 'Ole Ramona High' good bye We shall always retain pleasant memories of our school days as we go on our journey through life At last, at last, the time has arrived And just to think that we've survived, These many years, which we've struggled through To get our educat1on in this land of the red, whlte, and blue A mm Here's to the many headaches and heart attacks, too That we have caused our dear teachers to go through All the pop bottles gym shoes all the old gum Jean Owens All of our backwork: lessons, and then some , Here's to the principal, who gave h1s help, Wlth such a gentle stroke, that lt made a wee whelp We'll never forget him, yes, that's true, Ah, just to hear h1m say, 'This hurts me more than lt does you ' Here's to the superintendent that dear man, He could give you a lecture ike no other can He was a fine fellow, we all agree, And we'll always remember the guldance he gave us so free To last, but not least, we give this toast To the ones who have helped us the very most MOM and DAD, how we love them, fGod bless them! They were always there with that helping hand U And now after twelve long years we are nineteen dignified Seniors. 1 5 ' ' 3 0 O , 1 9 1 , A will We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and fifty-two 119521 of Ramona High School, being of sound mind and knowing this to be our last opportunity to will our abstract and concrete possessions to those who lag behind, leave the examples we have set as worthy scholars and every blameless student, our faithfulness in never skipping school. Our record has been spotless and in all annals of our career we have done no deed, as a class, that we need blush for. To Mr. Piguet, we leave all the overdue themes assigned at basketball games and the P. A. system. To Mr. Bass, we leave all the old broken paddles and all the old worn- out books left in our lockers.
