In 1953, Ralston opened its high school for the first time and you entered as freshmen. . . the first class to have the privilege of attending four years at a new high school. You had your growing pains right along with the new school. classes in Maywood grade school, the partially completed Lakeview grade school, basketball practice outside, odd hours for classes . . . By Christmas you had officially moved into the new building . . . classes met amid linoleurn layers, plumbing contractors, drapery men, window glazers . . . By the next fa1l,you had begun to overflow this lovely new building, so the addition was started . . . two more years of dodging steel beams, studying in half a gym while workmen put the other half on before your eyes, music in the shoproom, boiler room, hallways . . . Now, both our building and our seniors have reached completion . . . or should we say, this is just the beginning? . . .
