LANE BOARD OF EDUCATION AND SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS THE NEW SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL The new Senior High school building, used this year for the first time, ranks among the best in the matter of capacity and equipment, as well as in beauty. Its basic architectural design of Tudor Gothic is modified to utility's needs. The interior is modern in spirit, and utiliarian despite its beauty of line and material. The building contains sixty-five class rooms, seven shops, six study halls, three laboratories, a band room with its own stage and storage space, a music room, also with its own stage, a pleasant and sanitary cafeteria with a seating capacity of about three hundred, the gymnasium, a capacious and splendidly equipcped unit with a floor eighty by one hundred feet, and seating space for one thousan six hundred spectators. The library is spacious and adequately furnished. The great and beautiful auditorium has permanent seats for more than two thousand persons, and a stage adequately equipped, which can seat a band or orchestra of two hundred pieces, which affords ideal facilities for large public meetings and programs.
