The membership has steadily increased until at present there are one hundred and eighty-two members. To be eligible for membership in the Honor Society, a student must gain distinc- tive recognition in the ideals of character, scholarship, leadership, and service. The endeavor of all members of this organization is to live up to the high standards of the society and to acquire habits of concentration and thoroughness which will be essential in later life. Every semester new members are selected from the graduating class. The initia- tion this year was held at the First Christian Church during the Christmas holidays. Following the annual banquet eleven members of the class of 1931 were inducted into the society by a ceremony intended to impress upon the initiates the high ideals of the organization. A musical program was rendered by talented members. The success of the Quincy Chapter is due in large measure to the worthy efforts of Miss Brakensiek, the sponsor. Ten
