f X fi Afs, Kyfyf QQ, jj if , Q Q Q Q I am Queens College. I have been watching Queens girls since before Henry Ford cranked his first Model T. I remember well the class of 56 -the frightened freshmen with all their baggage, their confusion as they registered, and their bright, starry eyes and smiling faces as they began their first year of college. Yes, I have watched them grow older and more beautiful. As sophomores I laughed with them at Stunt Night and watched them prepare for those big weekends. I tried to speak to them through the voices of the faculty. I beamed with pride as my girls took their seats in the balcony of Ninniss to return as juniors the next year. The starry- eyed look had left my girls' eyes and one of determination and hard work took its place. Alas, four years go by so quickly! I felt a little sad as I watched my girls on Senior Recognition Day. As Senior VVeek comes I cry a little because the end is so near and I have become so attached to my girls. Commencement is finally here, and I am happy once more. I like the confident manner of those frightened girls of four years ago.
