THE CAVALIER FRONT ROW - P. Morand, C. McGonagle, W. Hall, R. Cassidy, REAR ROW - W. Kleiman, W. Molloy. Led by Charles Hughes, untiring Editor-in-Chief, and his versatile associate, Larry Mongan, the Plume Staff published five creditable issues of the school publication. One more step in the gradual metamorphosis, which must accompany every growing thing, was the adoption ot a very striking color design, created by .lack Kohlman. One of the most interesting departments was the Sports Section, successfully handled by Melvin Tepe and Stanley Sullivan. Bob O'Brien presented the school activities in a most clear and concise fashion, while Bill Baum, assisted by his four representatives, H. Barnhorst, R. Stacey, T. Mongan and F. Sahlfield, took care of the class news in an entirely refreshing and novel style. Jack Rittmeyer made the most ot his opportunities as Humor Editor, and Bob Zwinak was a most effective middle-man for the Library news. The circulation department was handled very satis- factorily by Pat Morand. To those mentioned above must be added all the writers who were an integral part of the Plume, and likewise, Brother Thomas Dolan, faculty adviser, without whose efforts the Plume would not have been such a praiseworthy publication. Under the personal supervision of Brother Lekan, the Library enjoyed one of its most successful seasons. Many new books, both novels and references, were added to the ever-increasing stock of book lore. Assisting Brother Lekan were: Charles McGonegle, who for four years has given his time to the betterment of the Library, Wessley Hall, Richard Logan, Pat Morand, Dick Cassady, Thomas Molloy and William Kleiman. FRONT ROW-R. Birkmeyer, S. Sullivan, J, Rittmeyer, C, Hughes lliditorl, M. Tepe, E. Schaf, R. O'Brien. SECOND ROW-R, Zwinak, P. Morand, R. lnkrot, L. Mongan, E. Weber, R. Zimmerman. THIRD ROW-W. Pagr' l anV!1't'r1 THE CAVALIER SEATED-J. Flynn, J. Crosby, R. Birkmeyer, J. Kapier. STANDING-R. O'Brien, T. Martin, W. Adelsperger, J. Shea, R, McDermott, J. Malone, H. Copier, .l. Byrne, N. Gaesler. Howard Copfer lLord Fancourt Babberlyl, who played the leading role in Charley's Aunt, made the show a dramatic success. His impersonation of the substitute Charley's Aunt was one of the best bits of acting seen on local amateur stages. The two college students, Neal Faessler Hack Chesneyl and James Crosby fCharley Wyke- CHARLEY'S AUNT haml, portrayed the lives of Oxford students with professional skill. Their girl friends, Joe Kapter fMiss Verdunl and Ray Birkmeyer lMiss Spettiguel, played their parts with the natural ease that shows much practice. .lake Malone fSir Francis Chesneyl impersonated a real father, while Joe Byrne fStephen Spettiguel proved a very mean uncle. Some thought that Roger McDermott fBrassettl stole the show with his marvelous interpretation of the wise but humorous butler. Bob O'Brien fFarmerl, .lack Flynn fMiss Delahayl, Walter Adelsperger lDonna Lucia D'Alvadorezl and .lack Shea fMaudl were valuable assets to both the sincere and humorous sides ot the play. Senior members ot the cast are: Howard Copier, .loe Byrne, Jack Malone, Roger McDermott, Bob O'Brien, Stage Managers, Tom Martin and Joe Cregan, The success of Charley's Aunt is due chiefly to the untiring efforts ot Father Seitz and his able assistant, Brother Rus. Through his unfailing interest and his ability to select an all-star cast, Father Seitz has again presented a hit.
