The Future Homemakers of America is the National organization of pupils studying homemaking in junior and senior high schools of the United States and territories. The purposes are: to promote a growing appreciation of the joys and satis- factions of homemaking, to emphasize the importance of worthy home membership, to encourage democracy in home and community life, to provide wholesome individual and group recreation and to further interest in home economics.
