pep club This is a good name for these energetic and ambitious girls who have worked hard for their school. They appropriated money for the publishing of football programs and sold them at each home game. They also had dances and sold refresh- ments after the home football games. Pep rallies and bon-fires were also sponsored by this club to keep the school spirit high. The main accomplishment of the Pep Club was the annual Spring Carnival. p. h. s. chorus Our P.H.S. Chorus experienced one of its best years since its organi- zation eight years ago. Out of twenty-one participating groups in the District Festival, the Pulaski High School Chorus was the only mixed chorus to receive a superior rating. The activities of the chorus were: Chorus Concerts at various churches, Choir Festival, Christmas assembly program, sang for veterans at Veterans Hospital in Roanoke, Concerts at Radford College and Emory and Henry College, sent delegates to All State Chorus West at Covington, and presented the annual Spring Concert. Officers were: Bob Hall, president; Betty Quesenberry, vice-presi- dent; Ramona Kanode, secretary; Hilda Rigney, treasurer; Ann Stinson, reporter; Elizabeth Cummings, student director; Patsy Jennings, accom- panist; and director, James H. boys monogram club The Boys ' Monogram Club is a group of very sports-minded and ener- getic boys who have worked hard to earn a letter in one of the major sports. They have been active in school affairs this year under the leader- ship of their coach, Vic Kreiter. The boys sponsored a dance this year and sold refreshments during bas- ketball games. Club members also bought orange and black sweaters and jackets. Club officers were " Bugs " Tickle, president; Ros Meredith, vice-presi- dent; Bob Hall, secretary; and " Bubbie " Duncan, treasurer.
