The Boys ' Monogram Club is composed of boys who have earned let- ters in one of the major sports. These boys order jackets and sweaters each year. June Brown, Iris Rash, Ruth Jackson, Bunny Downey, Ann Millirons, Anna Wallner. " V-l-C-T-O-R-Y " was the theme and war cry of the Pep Club this year as this group of happy and loyal girls helped to make this year of sports a great one. The purpose of the Pep Club is to promote good sportsmanship throughout the school. The duties of this club are many. Some of them are being responsible for all bonfires, gathering boxes for the bonfires, decorating for dances held after the ball games, selling programs at the ball games and cheering their teams on to victory. ' Also the club sponsored the annual Spring Carnival. Officers this year were: Alice Burchett, president; Iris Rash, vice-pres- ident; Barbara Warner, secretary; Janie King, treasurer; and Euna Rose Pow- ers, reporter. Third row: Bonnie Hall, Betty Beamer, Lila Sadler, Bonnie Grubb. Ellen Kate Bruce, Ruth Jackson, Dawn Huff, Louise Humphrey, Betty Lovern, Carolyn Hale, Naomi Quesenberry. This club is composed of twenty-one members, all of whom have worked hard to have the honor of wearing the school monogram. This letter is worn with pride and shows the service they have given throughout the school. These girls worked hard during foo+ball season decorating the park and working at the concession stand. Initiation is held for new members following basketball season. The officers were: Jackie Richardson, president; Carol Shuffle- barger, vice-president; Anne Whisman, secretary; Barbara Manning, treasurer.
