Harris, Tommy Farmer, Anton Wallner. , he PULASKI HIGH SCHOOL BAND now consists of seventy-eight members and is one u of the most active organizations in the school. Its purpose is to create in our schools and community a cultural consciousness of music. The band, under the excellent direction of Mr. James H. Godfrey, performed various maneu- vers at all football games, with the exception of William Fleming. It also participated in many school and community gatherings, such as bonfires, parades, assemblies, and District VI Music Festival held in Tazewell. Majorettes are: Betty Vanover, Carol Shufflebarger, Iris Rash, Ellen Kate Bruce, Ann Whis- man, Louise Humphrey, Shirley Davidson, Barbara Gibbs, Bonnie Gruff and Ann Carolyn Hale. The Drum Major is Rex French. Officers for the year were: Barbara Hudson, president; Joe Mabe, vice-president: Marie Left- wich, secretary-treasurer; Freddie Cummings, reporter; Mildred Stoots, Ruth Dalton and Gloria Ware, librarians; Evelyn Dutton and Carlyle Scott, uniform custodians; Beverly Pearce, David Jones and Jack Martin, members-at-large; and Joan Fanning student director. forty-eight
