' A ' Beta Club HE BETA CLUB is a leadership service organization for high school Juniors and Seniors. Th purpose of the club is to raise the standards of the student body and to create in the students a desire to furlher their education. Membership is based on good mentality and character, commendable attitude, and achievement of a " B 1 average during the first two or three years of high school. Members must maintain ihese qualities and be approved by the school. Activities of the club for this year included the annual Kiddie Dance, a formal Installation ceremony as an assembly program. Projects include the purchase and presentation of a to the school and the publication of the " Oriole Chirps. ' " flag and flag staff The fifty-two members for this year have been led by the following officers: Margie King, president; Barbara Quesenberry, vice-president; Alma Phibbs, secretary; and Evelyn Ward, treasurer.
