PHS BAND 1949-1950 E PULASKI HIGH SCHOOL BAND was first organized during September 1946, with thirty-seven mem- bers, under the direction of James H. Godfrey. The Band has developed during the past four years into a nice sounding concert band, giving many performances at festivals, assemblies, special programs and other community activities. It has added much color and life to many school and community functions. GOOD BOOK is the best of friends, the same today and for ever. " The members of the library club are chosen because they have shown an interest in reading, can assume leadership and have good scholastic records. During Book Week the club sponsored a talk, given to the juniors and seniors by Mrs. Howard Gilmer. Movies relating to the use of books, and the library were also shown during this week. Throughout the year members have assisted daily in the library, learning the mechanics of running the library. The officers of the club, sponsored by Miss Pendleton, librarian, are Mary D.
