It has sponsored several social events this year. On December 21, the club sponsored the Christmas Formal. In the spring the club sponsored the Spring Carnival. ' The girls in pastel dresses and the boys in tuxedoes gave a very beautiful overture to the season. The officers for the year were: Frances Ratcliffe, president; Barbara Grantham, vice-president; Doris Wilson, secretary; Doris Ann Boadwine, treasurer. It started through the co-operative efforts of youth who wish to promote better speaking qualities in the school. The Debating Club accomplished much this year. The club aided in buying a plaque in memory of Mr. Ed Jennings, the organizer of the club. The officers this year are: Margaret Gregory, president; Jean Lineberry, vice- president; Merita Ryan, secretary; and Doris Lee Mooney, treasurer. The club is sponsored by Mr. Vic Kreiter. forty-four

Godfrey, has proven itself to be an outstanding choral organization. The fine singing by this group has been heard by many audiences this year. The tone quality, flexibility and diction of the Chorus has been highly praised by many who have heard it.
