Undisputecl City Championship
The 1962 football season saw the Pulaski
Rams under the superb leadership of Coach
John McGee and assistant coaches Greg
Dufek, Neil Hoepfner, and Chuck Levandow-
ski, sweep the city conference with an unde-
feated record to win the city championship.
The Rams more than upset their oppo-
nents. The offensive unit subsisted on a
steady diet of an average of 28 points per
game. The defense savagely held their oppo-
nents to an average of 8 points per game.
homecoming 14 7 Juneau Lincoln and
Washington also went down under the on
slaught of the Rams by scores of 20 13 33 19
and 14-7, respectively. Pulaski turned on the
power and crushed Custer 47-0, finishing the
season by smothering East 51-6.
Jim Hutchison was the only Pulaski player
to be selected unanimously by both news-
papers on the All-City squads.
Here are some boys who Won a Championship.
With the likes of Jim Hutchison, Wayne
Kostka, Roger Koehn, and Gil Brickler,
Pulaski had the most devastating backfield in
the city. Outstanding performances by lines-
men such as Paul Blochowiak, Ebba Wiechow-
ski, Buck Coulter, and Dennis Bartz resulted
in one of the best lines in the conference.
Pulaski had a powerful team and victory
was sweet. Tech, whom Pulaski hadn't beaten
in eight years, was blitzed 40-14. The Rams
blanked South 9-0 and whipped Bay View for
