Georgia Watkins was crowned queen. Lisa Colvert and Shannon Smith were the other senior maids. The junior maids were Karen Giles and Sheri Pike. The sophomore maids were Leslie Byrd and Cindy Thomas. Injuries marred the end of the season. The Junior Bruins began their season with a 20-0 victory over Newark. After a Jefferson forfeit, the Bruins beat Mayflower 14-O. The Bruins lost the Homecoming game in a come- from-behind victory for Hazen 8-12. Coach Aylett is optimistic and expects a good group of seventh and eighth graders to return next year.
