On October 12, Kerri Swink was crowned 1979 Homecoming Queen. The Bruins played hard, but lost to AA power Hazen 16-0. Homecoming was again an exciting event for everyone at P.A. They faced tough opponents, but made a late comeback to have a winning season. With a forfeit from Jefferson, exciting Homecoming win over C.A.C., they still had a chance to win their conference. They put up a good fight at Harding, but they fell a little short of the final con- ference victory, which elimi- nated their hopes of winning the conference.
