DECA wos open to oll students who ore enrolled in the busi- ness deportment. They porticipoted in the fund-roising ond mony of the locol octivities such os service projects ond sociol functions. One of the most prestigious honors for o high school student wos to be o member of the Notionol Honor Society. 'ln order for o junior or senior to be eligible to become o member, he or she must hove possessed good chorocter, exhibited fine service, showed good quolities of leodership, ond excelled in scholorship. Students who met these requirements were elected to the Honor Society by the foculty. The Honor Society ot Pueblo engoged in mony octivities throughout the yeor. At Christmos time, they tools o Christmos tree ond o boslset of fruit to the Morsholl Home for Men. The Honor Society olso sponsored the Honor Roll Brunch for students who hod been on the honor roll during the first semester. The purpose of the club wos to not only recognize outstonding students but to give these students on opportunity to serve their community ond school. 15 Mr. Fuscoldo lectures on marketing. 23 Mr. Fuscoldo's closs poys close ottention. 35 DECA members leorn how to operote o cosh regis- ter. Clubs Involve Students - There were 22 members in the Tradi- tions Committee. The purpose of this club was to maintain the traditions of Pueblo High School such as, Homecoming, Teacher appreciation day, and decorating the Christmas tree. No special requirements were needed tojoin except interest in the school. The club officers were Elena Corona president, Bernice Ormsby vice president, Troy Mendez, treasurer, Mario Moreno, secretory. Ingrid Miller, replaced Sheryl Milo as the Traditions committee's sponsor. The hiking club hos been at Pueblo for years but, inactive. This year it was re- formed and there were six members in- volved, four of which were freshman, The sponsor was Ernest Parks. They went on hiking trips to A-mountain and to other conyons in the Tucson orea. 13 Hiking club members ore: Carlos Bujondo, Enuque Bujanda, Gilberto Garcia. Not pictured are Jesus Flores, Michelle Bruss, Tony Golden. 23 Frank Quevedo and Cecilia Borboo dance the night away at the homecoming '81 dance. 3DMaria Moreno hands Cecilia Borboo the winning box while Fronk Quevedo watches. 43 Queen Cecilia Borboo waits for king Frank Quevedo to escort her. 53 Troditions Committee members: Top row ore: Nohemi Avila, Ingrid Miller, Joanne Cordenos.
