Aronson, Mr. Frank J. Smith. PROSPECT The main goal of the Board of Education was to provide the best possible education for all students. Mr. John Haas, Presi- dent, Mrs. Eugenia Chapman, Secretary, and the members of the Board were concerned with finances, building, and quality of education. Responsibilities included the new Wheeling High School and plans for a fifth school in Elk Grove. Last fall dis- trict administrators moved from cramped quarters to the new administration building on Prospect's campus. In a new office, Mr. Harold Schlichenmeyer, Superintendent, continued to act as contact between the faculty and the Board of Education and as chief co-ordinator of District 214 activities. Dr. Edward Gilbert, Assistant Superintendent, handled hiring of personnel and extending of school services. ACQUIRES NEW NEIGHBCRS Principal Mr. Alvin Kulieke Prospect students cmd faculty remembered another successful year under the guidance and leadership of Principal Mr. Al- vin Kulieke. Mr. Kulieke helped to co-ordinate student and faculty activities, both educational and extracurricular. The behavior of students, the maintenance of the building, and the purchasing of supplies, as well as the activities of students, were the responsibilities of Mr. Louis Schultz, Assistant Princi- pal for Administrative Services. His responsibilities included scheduling of organizational ac- tivities, providing for adequate faculty supervision at these activities, directing of the student council, and supervising of student ticket sales.
