Two-thirds of PHS's students are enrolled in the many courses offered by this departmentg civics, economic geography, ancient history, world geography, world history, and two years of American history. History students are encouraged to explore various types of source material for book reports and proj- ects, and then to formulate their own opinions about the significance of these phases of history.
