Homeroom teams were chosen with each homeroom competing for the championship banner. The homerooms that came out on top and received their ban- ners in the Awards Assembly, Ianuary 5, were rooms 203, Freshmen, 224, Sopho- mores, l33, Iuniorsg and 206, Seniors. The Homeroom competition was brought to a thrilling climax with the game between Senior Homerooms 206 and 219, played dur- ing lourth period with a large crowd of rooters present. The teams, evenly matched, were tied at the half. With less than a min- ute to play a basket and a foul shot by Ioan Shorten brought her team ahead to win the game. By December l all Senior and class pictures had been taken under the direction ot Elinor Weber, Class Editor, all advertising space had been sold bf Bob VanDeventer, Advertising Managerg all assignments given out by Pat Gorman, Editorfin-Chief. Assisting the Editor-in-Chief were Polly Bright, in charge ot activitiesg Mildred McCool, girls' sports: Peter Bibbes, boys' sports, Mabel Boyden, identifications: Doris l-lolcombe, artg loyce Adams, typing, Bobert Flory, photography. To help finance the book 250 patrons were secured by Virginia Mondone and her stait, 7l8 subscriptions were obtained by the subscriptions committee headed by Cath- erine Kahny and Clarence Chang. The statt worked hard, with the assist- ance oi Miss Buth l-luzzard and Mrs. Glenda Bichards, to produce a book the whole Serif ior class would be proud of.
