Their comradship and loyalty, both to our school and their friends, shall serve as an inspiration to all those who knew them and worked with them, With their passing, we lost not only two friends but a part of our school, May our guiding light forever be the pure ideals which governed their lives. Farewell! Though you are gone, your spirit will eternally be with us. WILLIAM DAVID HICKEY i tt oi i of The Lipesey of Virginia pens pnd = = bs +7 ‘ i 3 Last year our school had just been finished and we had come here for the first time. We have had to start every- thing from the beginning. There is just cause for us to be proud of what we have done. We have become one united body, working together to make our ideas and ideals come true. We have trained ourselves to be citizens of tomorrow through the media of our Student Council, clubs, and various other activities and organizations. From this we have learned one outstanding thing- it is not important who you are but what you can do. Any book or article that you have seen has a theme -- some idea or fact that ties it together. As the title of this book signifies, our theme is royalty. To carry this theme further, we have a mascot, the Queen Bee. You see her and her retinue on different pages. She will be the key to this book. fer ey We have been given the sacred trust of preserving these actions and memories for the future. _We are, therefore, presenting to you an account in writing and in pictures of what has taken place during this yeat’ An ¢ ing so we com- plete our trust and pass it to those who come after us. uf Seems Sees We, the staff of the Prince George Peerage, are proud to present to you this book -- - THE PEERAGE, 1955. Because of her friendli- ness, her understanding, her guidance, her boundless energy, and her interest in the welfare of the students and the school, it is with pleasure that we, the annual staff of 1955, dedicate the second volume of THE PRINCE GEORGE PEERAGE to our beloved Assistant Principal, Miss Charlotte Zeigler, who has so graciously added to the betterment of our school, LEFT TO RIGHT: Shelton Belsches, Frank Livesay, John Clements, Chairman of the Board; Julia Bartha, Clerk; Harold Allin, Jerry Skalsky.
