2 Mr. HKU was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Walsenburg, Co. He died May 4, 1983, at his home in Primero, Cc. He was one of four children born to Louis and Julia .I Komaroski. He attended school at St. Mary's in Walsenburg, Co. from Kindergarten thru 12. He interrupted his high school education when he joined the U.S. Navy in 1943. He served 3 5 years aboard ship and overseas during World War II. He was Honorably Discharged in 1946 and continued his education, graduation from St. Mary's High School. George attended Adams State College, Alamosa, Co. for two years, playing football both years. He again interrupted his education and worked for the D.R.G.W. Railroad. George married Lorraine Colantoni on Oct. 23, 1948, at St. Mary's Church, Walsenburg, Co. He worked at various jobs spending 86 years in San Diego, Calif. He worked the last four years there as head of the Shipping and Receiving Dept. for Standard Iron Works. He then moved back to Colorado where he decided to finish his education. He again attended Adams State College getting his teaching degree. Mr. HKU came to Primero in 1964 as a teacher and coach. He was very dedicated to his profession and the students. He often went out of his way M to guide or help a student any way he could. f Q Georgia graduated from Primero in 1969 and C.S.U. in 1975. She lives in Mr. 8 Mrs. HKU have three children, Georgia, Michael, and John. 'N Pueblo, Co. and is Home Ec. Dept. head at Pueblo Community College. She is married to James M. Hoffmann and they are the parents of Mr. HK'sH only N grandchild, Eric Michael. Michael graduated from Primero in 1970 and U.S.C. in 1975. He is married to Michele Zupancic and they live in Pueblo, Co. Mike is self employed.
