DEDICATION On May 19th, 1960, one of the most tragic occurrences ever to happen in this area took place, the costly devastation of our new high school building. The destructiveness of fire was sadly beheld by all on that unforgettable day, when the hopes, joys and years of hard work came to an abrupt halt as our beau- tiful school building crumbled before the fiery torrent. The loss of our school building was much more than the money that went into it. It was a loss felt in the heart of every student, teacher and resident, it was the loss of a dream. Primeto Union High School was completed in 1955, at a COSI of approxi- mately 500,000 dollars. It contained 13 fine classrooms, a modern shop and laboratory, a very large gymnasium and a roomy cafeteria. lt had been avast improvement over the old high school and it was a modern, well equipped, and enjoyable place of learning.
