DEDICA TION To a man of such deserving great honor we sincerely dedicate this 1959-60 yearbook to Vince Vigil. His death has brought on a morbid loss. He was born May 19, 1929, in Valdez, Colorado, in which he had been a life long resident. He had served our community as scout master for five years and taught three years at Sarcillo and two years at Weston. He attended Trinidad Junior College for two years, then completed his four years at Adam SrateCollege. He received the Award of Merit for being an outstanding student at Adam State College and graduated with a B. A. degree. While serving two years in the United States Army he was an instructor for the Ski Troopers. To a man of high esteem we shall certainly miss his presence and position that he has occupied. His is a place in this community that shall never be filled. The Annual Staff 1959-60 ,om u Q 4, 0 P1-4 :fry if-3, -Q-wi' .V ,fn 1 L Q We GUTIERREZ, Superintendent ka :ii-'iwegi wiflvf wgvu. SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE Education, as you will soon realize, is a gradual, never ending process. Our ultimate goal is to be confidently certain that our students and graduates are receiving, and have received, the maximum educational requirements to best suit them for their chosen fields of endeavor and future life. To the graduates who will be leaving Primero High School this year, I wish the fullest and most enjoyable future. To this end I hope our schools have played an important part. lt is most gratifying to the educators of any com- munity to learn of the advancement and success of the students with whom they were once closely associated. Your fields of endeavor may vary greatly, since you each possess individual personalities with various desires and goals in mind. Some will further their education, while others will branch into the business world and establish homes. I sincerely hope that regardless of your vocation, or avocation, you will constantly bear in mind your responsibility to society, reflecting credit and pride on your family, community and school. .EN wATsoN, secretary Del-IERRERA.
