It is with great pride that I look upon you as the first class to graduate under my administrative leadership. You were most cooperative and dedicated to the cause of Price High School. You have served faithfully and finished your tenure here at Price, now you are on your first lap to satisfy your thirst from the spring of knowledge and learning. In your haste to quench your thirst, please remember that a little of both is a very dangerous thing—so drink deep or do not touch the water from the flowing spring. Working with you for the past year—my first year as your principal—has been an inspiring and learning experience for me. For the past four years, I have watched you grow in stature, interest, initiative, cooperation, scholarship, efficiency, leadership, and accomplishments. I must say that your greatest accomplishments of the past four years has been the publishing of this fine Pricean and graduating from Price High School. Congratulations on both of these and may you find happiness and success in all your future endeavors. Sincerely yours, Alexander Monroe Principal, Mr. Alexander Monroe Asst. Principal, Mr. F. M. Joy because we have finally reached the long awaited objective—graduation. Sadness because we are cognizant that our class’ graduation will mark the end of this school as a learning institution as well as the end of an era. Changing times have finally caused complete integration in order to give our students the necessary preparation to participate actively in contemporary society. Under the capable guidance and direction of principals: L.H. Hall, O.C. Hall, S.O. Jones, G. W. Miller, A. Monroe, and the motivation and stimulation of dedicated faculty members through the years, prominent Priceans have taken their rightful places in society and made an indelible impression in various fields of endeavor. As we reflect on these contributions to American culture we can feel a sense of pride and dignity in our own heritage. To mention a few in education we can boast of our ownElizabethDuncanKoontz, Isaac H. The Class of 1969 feel that we could do nothing less than accept the challenge set by former students of Price, and we pledge ourselves to make our imprints in the annals of history, by continuing the Price tradition of undaunted leadership and service. May we always remember that Price is “priceless.” The Senior Class of 1968—69 Senior Class Roster Janie Louise Aldrich James Bernard Barber Howard K. As the years roll by, we’ll take a cry, and look back with a heart full of love that-will-never-die. We will remind ourselves that dear Price High was our map to the future and we have done our duty to follow it’s rule, to stay neat, prompt, and cool. We may not be the President, but we are still a resident of North Carolina, and a graduate of Price High School. Your red brick wall still shines strongly in the sun, your bright flag still waves happily to everyone; Your halls are still alive with their mighty foundations, lockers and voices are just mere imitations; We are the proud followers, We have done our duty; We are the proud followers, We are Price High’s students Good-by dear Price High!
