The whole is equal to the sum of its parts In our sophomore year at Price High School, the class of 1965 learned this axiom in geometry class. It was a logical, universal concept that anyone could testify to as a practical truth. But the true meaning of this mathematical reality became clear only when we faced graduation as a senior class. Then, we remem¬ bered the parts: students, faculty, classes, activities and athletics; the whole: Price High School. Each is separate and important, but we of the class of 65 also remember another axiom, one to which we have dedicated ourselves in the past four years -- The whole is GREATER than any of its parts . A Tribute . . . TO TWO GREAT PERSONALITIES To you, Mr. J. E. Anderson and Mr. J. W. Bennett, we pay tribute in our 1965 PRICEAN. Both of you are the symbols of friendship, co-operation, and belonging. Each student is a part of you, and you are a part of each student. By your friendly personal attitudes toward all of us you have tied our class and our school together. Mr. Anderson, we shall never forget the nickels we borrowed from you with our best intentions of repaying you later. Mr. Bennett, your willingness to take our pictures when we had no money and when only you knew you had no film was fun after all. Thanks for your time, patience and pretense. For these and many more reasons, we express our thanks. 20
