'ig gg if V T 'ima '1'7 C ASS HISTORY When the year l9h0 rolled around there were 16 eagerly awaiting children ready to begin their first year at Preston schools Our teacher was Miss Kregier and the class consisted of Carolyn B , Barbara D , Clarice E , Mary Jo F , Lynette G , Patty G , Carol K , Joan M , Wanda N , Dorothy S , Romona , Verlyn S , Helen W , Cecile Joy Z , Wynona Z , and Donald C Donald Casey was only with us one week We all survived the first grade and were ready for our second grade the next year Our gains were Barbara Fisher, Ruth Hormann Paul Miskimen and Richard Rapp We lost Verlyn Smith Our teacher was Miss Regier In our third grade the gains were Deana Von Gossaman, Jimmy Stalcup, and Lois Roush We lost Clarice Engelhardt, Barbara Fisher, Mary Jo Fisher, Ruth Hermann, Cecile Joy Ziegler, and Dorothy Simon Our teacher was Miss O'Dan1el Our fourth grade remained the same except for a few gains Leroy Gibson, Bill Huffman, Jack Rogers, and Ronald Wood Our teacher was Mrs Hoskinson During our fifth grade we didn't make too much progress W added two to our class Ray Johnson and Alberta Smith Our teacher was Miss Long By the time we were sixth graders we had made quite a rapid progress for the class We gained nine this year Dorothy Fisher, June Gates, Ross Hoener, Stanley Julian, Gayleen Keller, Lowell Keller, Don Lieurance, Mary Watson and Harold Wood Our teacher was Hrs Hoskinson After successfully passing the sixth grade, we were quite happy to be in the high school building for the seventh grade We lost June Gates, Stanley Julian, Carol Krenzin, Don Lieurance, Mary Watson and Harold Wood We gained Paul Hill and Clarice Engelhardt Our teachers were Mrs Breeze and Mr Logsdon We were still gaining during our eighth grade Bob Dorsey, We were quite an excited class when our freshman year rolled around The seniors did a thorough job with our freshman initia tion We gained Anita Tregallas, but we also lost two Leroy Gibson and Paul Hill, Jr Our sponsor was Coach Bridges During our sophomore year we were just in school and that was all There weren't any exciting events that happened Our losses were Evert Jennings, Bob Dorsey and Anita Tregallas Our sponsor was Miss Chapman Our junior year was quite exciting We had our Junior Play, 'Maid to Order and the Junior Senior Banquet The theme of the banquet was 'Hitch Your Wagon to a Star n It took a lot of hard work, but we certainly enjoyed every minute of it We gained Milan Uppendahl this year Our sponsor was Miss Chapman Now that we have reached our senior year, out of the class of 21 there are only four that have gone all through the twelve years of school together They are Carolyn B , Barbara D , Helen , and Joan M The rest of the class of 1952 consists of Wally , Ross H , Ray J , Milan U , Clarice E , Alberta S , Gayleen , Lois R , Jack R , Paul M , Lowell K , Bill H , Dott J , Jimmy Keilborothy F , Jack L , and Delwayne S Our sponsor is Miss GY HUGIU- SUNDRIES John, Klthryn t Helen lhy Hughes 'lay The Good Lord Bless And Karp You' is our fervent wish . Also during October the Y-Teens served the evening meal for the Pratt County School Mens Assn. In connection with the Nation al World Week of Prayer the Y-Teens sponsored a week of prayer for the student body. As a money raising project the club sponsored a community box supper.
