The Senior class of 1958 entered Prescott Rural High in 1954 with 13 stu- dents. Our Freshman sponsor was Frank Rybnick and we electedpfor our class officersg Shirley Elliott, Presidentg Ronnie Lowe, Vice Presidentg Jimmy Vaughn, Secretaryg Alice Streeter, Treasurerg and Irma Shattuck and Ronnie Lowe, Student Council Members. Joan Phillips was the cheerleader from our class. Pat Hazelbaker was our Annual Queen candidate and Alice Streeter was our Homecoming Queen candidate. For our Sophomore year our class officers were: Carl Sutherland, Presi- dent, Shirley Elliott, Vice Presidentg J. Arthur Sutherland, Secretary: Joan Phillips, Treasurerg and Alice Streeter, Reporter. Our sponsor was Miss Olive Gage and we elected Joan Phillips and Jimmy Vaughn to the Student Council. Peggy LeGere was our candidate for Annual Queen and Joan Phillips was candi- date for Homecoming. Shirley Elliott was our cheerleader. Our Junior year brought about two events, our Junior Play and the Junior- Senior banquet, that were considered very successful. Our play was a delight- ful farce comedy entitled The Whole Town's Talking, which concerned mar- rying a drab businessman's partner to his glamorous daughter. Moonlight and Roses was the theme of our Junior-Senior banquet held in our rose garden at the school gymnasium, Our class officers were: Carl Sutherland, Presidentg Alice Streeter, Vice Presidentg Joan Phillips, Secretary-Treasurer: and Ronnie Lowe and Shirley Elliott, Student Council members. Also, in our Junior year we were able to have Joan Phillips for the Homecoming Queen and Ladeen Phillips for our Annual Queen. Our sponsors were Mrs. Lucile James and Mrs. Carolyn Shankel. We also suffered the loss of two of our classmates -- Jimmy Frye to the Navy and Shirley Elliott to Frank Hildebrand, For the last time, eleven members of the class of 1958 enrolled at Prescott High. Again, this year, we had two major events. The first was our Senior Play entitled January Thaw which was directed by Mrs. Lucile James, and was a tremendous hit. The second was our Senior Trip to Kirkwood Lodge which we all enjoyed. For our Senior officers we elected Alice Streeter, Pres- idents I. Arthur Sutherland, Vice Presidentg Joan Phillips, Secretary-Treasurerg and Carl Sutherland, Reporterg J. Arthur and Ladeen Phillips, our Student Coun- cil delegates, were also elected to President and Secretary of that organization, Ladeen was our Homecoming Queen and Alice Streeter was our Annual Queen, - Carl M.
