The plot centered around the love affairs of Maurice Fitzgerald, a rich young Dublin artist, and Rose Crelgan, a wild Irish Rose. The play opens at the country farm of Colum McCormack where Maurice Fitzgerald falls In love with Rose Crelgan. He proposes marriage and Is accepted to find out shortly afterward that his cousin has been killed and that he Is heir to the estate and a baronet. Lady Agnes Barrlcklow has long been In love with Maurice and now decides to marry him. She tries to break up Maurice and Rose causing a mix up of Identity, and raging tempers. In the latter part of the play Rose and Maurice live onthelr estate In Ireland. Lady Agnes Is still trying to cause trouble. During a party Rose orders Lady Agnes from the house after a bitter quarrel. Lady Agnes leaves for Belfast. Msurlce also leaves for Belfast for some mysterious reason. Terry Crelgan, Rose's brother exiled In America Is restoredto order. Rose suspecting that Maurice Is to Join Agnes, spurns her husband and departs for a grand ball with her brother Terry. Maurice, thinking that Terry Is Rose's lover, decides to challenge him to a duel, but Rose and Terry return from the ball and the brother Is In- troduced and the play ends well. Mistaken Identity, flaring tempers, and people getting Into em- barraslng positions added to the success, and excitment of the play. All of the members of the senior class and two lower classmen, Nelson Grigsby and Gary Pruit worked hard to present the play. Last but not least we will never be able to express our appreciation to Mrs. Stricklin for being the director of the play.
