The Alumni P.C. ' s alumni were treated to a weekend of seeing friends and their Alma Mater as we celebrated Home- coming. Activities for the Alumni ' s weekend at P.C. included the Walter Johnson Scotsman Club Golf Tour- nament, an alumni tennis tourna- ment, and a Scotsman Club Banquet. The classes of 1933, 1944, and 1958 held reunion dinners Friday evening. Saturday ' s events included class re- unions and a barbeque dinner at Templeton which preceded an Alumni Association Program. Dr. Orr ' s welcoming of alumni was fol- lowed by presentation of awards. Among the awards given, the Alumni Service Award was presented to Coach Cally Gault. On tap for the afternoon and evening were the P.C. vs. Mars Hill game and a post-game drop-in at Douglas House. Happenings 29

Blue Sox Festival Amazons in grass skirts, hunters, lions, snake women, and bamboo were all part of the 1983 Blue Sox Festival. Competition for the best skit was tough, but Clinton Dorm came out on top with their excursion to Grandma ' s Safari Hut?! Pi Kappa Alpha and Theta Chi followed close behind, winning second and third places. Cheryl Funderburk and George Rinker emceed the enter- tainment, which began the Homecom- ing festivities. 30 Happcnings
