The foreign language clubs consist of students interested in learning about the social and cul¬ tural aspects of other countries. To promote this interest, they have participated in such activ¬ ities as the annual folk fair in Milwaukee. In April, German Club attended a festival in Milwaukee for the Na¬ tional Federation of Stu¬ dents of Germany, an organization made up of high school German clubs throughout the United States. “Gotcha! Among such activities as pinata parties and Gaucho night, Spanish Club’s big event this year was the initiation of its new members. A kangaroo court, a crazy jury, and wacky witnesses set the scene for an evening of fun and laughs. Besides paper drives and bake sales, this year’s French Club par¬ ticipated in many other activities. Among these is the establishment of a French newspaper — Un peau de tout — a little of every¬ thing, which is just what it in¬ cludes, for in it are French stories, crosswords puzzles, grammar les¬ sons, history and poems. In spring the club held a banquet in the tra¬ ditional French atmosphere, with French tablecloths, candles and food prepared and served by the members.
