ckAf ClJ'vlMllx EDWARD SMlTH JOHN LARKHN JOAN SEIFTS Pr ide t Vi e President Treasurer Se retary Seanad. 01644 Jfotllaay N A bright day in N49 gold was discovered in California Today one hundred xcars later we find our gold ia other sources in tne memories of the past four yc rs which trulx have been as valuable as the precious metal itself We the rorty niners startel our high school careers as freshmen going forth as our forefathers did filled with xisions of new goals and new hori ons We participated in ll the school organi ations anci maintained honor marks in oning acquainted with the many opportunities made available to us by the faculty intl our mart new f lends lvliss Stexens quickly corralled as into speech activities til cre w won much acclaim lvlany of us soon became active members of the National Forensic League Various musical organizations welcomed us as permanent members After summer itcation we entered the ig building as sophomores Many ot our boys rose to the fore in footb ll basketball baseball and track helping to speed our team to xictories The huge success of the annual play Spring Green was largely attributed to our prowess as actresses and actors portraying le ding roles We continued our work in speech which included the reguired three weeks of public speak ing Thus our sophomore year came to a close and w eagerly awaited what was in store for us as ui per classmen As iuniors we were particularly famous for our Prom Spring Sa ling The superb decorations adderl to the marine atmosphere and the unsurpassable theme We took part in all the outstanding events of the year and were commended highly for our efforts are succes in them We were well represented at the Music Festnal in Wappingers Falls and received excellent ratings Seniors at last' The dav we had been looking forward to finally arrived and we felt i new dignity and perhaps superiority as we took our places on D floorT We excelled in sciencc mathematics music and athletics A competent group of us produced a show which wc called Smoke fets in Your Eyes.
