A. Board of Control 4. Bugs. Oh, what a girl was Maryu certainly applies to our Maryf' one of the most popular girls in the class. Ever since she entered P. H. S. she has been in the limelight. Athletics are her weakness. With her social, athletic, and scholastic activ- ities we wonder how Bugs ever gets time to answer those letters from Lehigh. Originality plus personality. Chady is one of the busiest mem- bers of the class and is always rushing to some kind of a meet- ing. It doesn't ruflie her temper though because she is always happy and is usually laughing. She has a flare for writingg especially poetry and has a large volume 'full of her doggerel fto use an expression of her ownj. She is full of pep and fun and is a good sport. Hannah is one of our popular and peppy girls. She was chosen school cheerleader in her Senior year, and we surely feel proud of her in that nifty crimson and white outfit, which she wears on the football field. She still shows that f'Form in gym and actually seems made of rubber when she performs on the gym team. No wonder she's going to take physical education at Temple. She surely knows her athletics! EMANUEL COHEN Class Basketball 2, 3, 4, Class Football 2, 33 Class Baseball 2, 3, 4. Mannie is one of the quiet fellows of the class and always busily engaged in some kind of school work. Mannie takes little part in class activities, but is well known and liked throughout the school. He is one of the class' star students and has been a star forward of the class basketball team for the past three years. Let us present the future Helen Wills. No wonder Adele is such a good tennis playerg she spent most of her spare time at VVestwood. Wonder what's the big attraction? Maybe the fresh air gives her that schoolgirl complexion. Adele is also famous as a violinist, although sometimes her knees are a bit shaky when she entertains the student body. Adele's big attraction is HArt. Now ask her why? And does she like Latin! We expect her back in P. H. S. as a future Latin teacher. FRANCIS BOSCHE Class Football 1, 2, 3, -Lg Glee Club 3, 4, Class Basketball 2, 3, 43 Hi-Y Club 2, 3, +3 Class Baseball 2, 3. Francis is one of our quietest and most likeable fellows. His ever-ready smile breaks forth like the sun from a cloudy sky, changing the gloom to mirth and revealing the most wonderful dimples. Francis is, also, a popular fellow with the girls, having a certain attraction to the Junior Class. He is an accomplished class athlete and shows excellent promise of budding into a famous track star. Catharine is a charming little Miss who appears to have little to say, but when one knows her well, one can truly say she is full of pep and bubbling over with fun. She made a fine f'Dame Greel in the colonial play and proved herself quite an actress in the Charm School. When the track season begins, Connie seems to put wings on her heels and starts to run for P. H. S. Though she played basketball, this year she preferred to keep time at the girls' basketball games and was kept busy shaking the stopped stop-watch during the quarters of the games. Margaret fMac, for shortj is a very quiet girl. Oh, yeah! until she gets started. You never hear her talk about the opposite sex, but surely there must be someone, somewhere. In English class Margaret is always ready with an answer, even though it is somewhat humorous. Mac is a great follower of sports. Sis is one of the most quiet CH girls in the class, but is full of pep and go. She is very cheerful, is always happy, and is a good student, excelling in most of her subjects. Although he has not entered the field of sports, he claims the distinction of never having missed a single home game of basketball or football during his four years in P. H. S.
