The 1979 Troiad staff takes great pride in selecting an exceptionally worthy dedicatce. Admired, athletic, attractive, and amiable - these are accolades that describe the lady whom we honor today. As a student at Pottstown High School her activities included basketball, lacrosse, AA Board, and class cabinet. She was the captain of the twirling corps and the business man- ager of the 1967 Troiad. After being graduated from West Chester State College, she returned to Pottstown High to teach physical education and health. In addition to her teaching she has coached almost every girls' sport and has served as advisor to the Classes of 1976 and 1978. Cur- rently she is the coach of lacrosse and girls' tennis and is a ccrsponsor of the Girls' Leader Corps. Her accomplishments are many. In an incredible year she coached two teams - lacrosse and girls' basketball - to Ches-Mont championships. She was selected Outstanding Coach of 1978 by the Tri-County Old Timers Association. The quantity of her accomplishments is surpassed only by the quality of her work. As a coach she emphasizes winning but also stresses attitudes, self-esteem, and school pride. As a teacher she has tremendous rap- port not only with her athletes but with all students at P.H.S. As a woman she demon- strates competitiveness combined with femi- nine poise.
