Mr. Richard L. Whitmore Mr. Richard L. Whitmore, a graduate of Portland High School, is one of our busy assistant principals. The leaving of Mr. Terracin, last year, has altered his duties. He is now working with the seniors instead of the underclassmen, and is responsible for scheduling the students and working with the different depart- ments of the school. He spent two years in the service, graduated from the University of Maine in Orono, and holds a Master's degree in Administration. We appreciate the time and effort Mr. Whitmore has spent for our benefit. A5515 TA TPRINCIPAL5 Dr. Marshall Rosensweet L, Dr. Marshall Rosensweet, another of our assistant prin- 4 cipals, came to Portland High School from Dayton, Ohio, where he has held many and varied positions. Well qualified for this administrative position, Dr. Rosensweet holds a B.A. in education, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in educational administration. He is dedicated to his work and has a genuine interest in the school and its activities. We welcome Dr. Rosen- sweet and wish him much further success.

For two years now, Portland High School has been under the leadership ofa stern but fair man. Having come here five years ago as a disciplinarian, Mr. Hansen advanced first to assistant principal, and then to his present position. Sllllll Mr. C. W. Hansen He is respected by all the students and faculty and in turn respects them. He has done much for our hallowed halls, and will continue to do so. Underclassmen will come to know and admire him as the seniors do. We wish him much success in the future. PRINCIPAL
