Superlafizfes Best Looking-When all was said and done, it was Reta Lawry and Glen Powers who came out on top in the current pulchritude polling. Reta's nearest com- petitors were three slick chicks-Gracia Agnew, Shirley Jordan, and Pearlette McDowell, in the masculine section, Dick Hooper and Art Negrini were tied for second place. Bob Willey's fans put him in the home stretch, too. Wittiest-For proving to us that a sense of humor is a wonderful thing to have around lwith apologies to Bob Hopej, we give to those Masters of Corn, Lillian McDonald and Nick Aceto, the title of Wittiest in P.H.S. Other apostles of Joe lVliller's not-to-be-denied followers are Marcella Norton and Gracia Agnew, representing the fairer sex, and Myer Punsky, who held his own among the boys. Most Popular-First place in the popu- larity Who's Who goes to a pair that we should be sure to know anywhere, Merlyn Tarr of Totem fame, and Class President, Charlie Bennett. Others noted for their popularity plus are Janice Copeland, Rae Spear, and Sally Dodwell. Glen Powers and Walt Kopack, the two original popu- larity kids, were not lacking supporters. Biggest Heartbreaker- Truth like mur- der will out, and it did, because Dot Keep 'em sighin, Brown and Danny of the Roving Eye Brennan have been named the two biggest heartbreakers on record! Rae Spear should be watched carefully, as should Connie Wilbur, and you gals had better keep your weather eye on Glen Powers and Avard Holt.

Superlafives Best Athlete-As for the world of sport, three-letter man Charlie Bennett had hardly a competitor as he went way out in front to win the title of Portland High's outstanding athlete. The girl who stole that title from the ladies is none other than Millie McFarland, while Jan- ice Copeland was not at all forgotten in the polling. Most Sophisticated-The usophisticatel' title was pretty well disputed this year, hut Chloe Presnell and Joe O,Donnell came through with a mysterious smile and sly winlc to put Reta Lawry and Glen Powers into a very close second place. Dot Brown and Les Buhier had.a few fans here and there, but their 'isavoir faire was not quite high enough to put them up front. Most Valuable-Those quiet ways cer- tainly seem to pay dividends in the long run, for here are Charlie Maria, our valedictorian, and Best Citizen Dorothy Adams heading the list of those to whom we point with pride. Also, it loolcs as if Merlyn Tarr and Gloria De Lillo have pretty good references for the job, while Charlie Bennett and Herb Billett would most certainly be considered valuable assets in any school! Most Collegiate-The class of 1945 had very definite ideas on this one, and they were Margie Garland and Art joe College Negrini. Margie was way out in front with Dot Adams as her only competitor. Art had a harder time of it, for Charlie I gotta dance Tolford is considered a pretty sharp character. Art, however, pulled through hy one jacket, three ties, and those lovely yellow socks!
