ln The Office Relaxing for a minute with their bosses are the two office secretaries, Mrs. Ruth Smith and Mrs. Alice Braun. They work out details of at- tendance and scholastic records: and the book- keeping for the adminis- trative branch of our school is in their compe- tent hands. Mrs. Smith. who re- signed in February, was replaced by Mrs. Hamil- ton Ferguson. This ls Our Superintendent Mr. D. S. Weller. superintendent of the Portland- Wayne Township Schools. is a friend to all of us. If it is a work permit we want. an interview for the school news- paper. or simply some supplies for a teacher. we enjoy going into his office. Occasionally he sits in on one of our classes. and we are always pleased to see him at pep sessions and special auditoriums. His duties take him into the four elementary build- ings and the junior high school. Working with the school board he constantly strives for a better educational sys- tem. This ls Our Principal Mr. H. S. Brubaker. principal of Portland-Wayne Township High School. has the respect and admiration of all students. Friendly and co-operative with us in our projects. he is also helpful to us in our troubles. In the morning and at noon his oifice is full of people seek ing pass slips. something from the ante-room. or advice on a matter. His influence encourages respect for our teachers. good sportsmanship. and co-operation in our school activities. VVe are proud of our school and of the man who guides us during our four year stay here,
