An unusual amount of snow during the winter of 1942-1943 afforded P. H. S. students much fun and re- creation. Here, several boys and girls have one last battle before going indoors. David Smithson, Mere- dith Lotz, and Bob McFar- land make use of the op- portunities provided for reference and leisure read- ing in the constantly ex- panding P. H. S. library A boys' gym class is do- ing Hoor work as a part of the physical fitness pro- gram instituted in the school's contribution to the war effort.
