Band The Band had a successful year under the guidance of Mr. Burgess and his able as- sistants: President: 2.8 y, o Carl Schalow Treasurers 423-020) Ted White secretary) si, Syeda t Elaine Tower The Band had their annual winter concert in December and one in the spring. This year the band and vocal groups presented a Minstrel Show on January 31 and Feb- ruary 1. It was enjoyed by all who attended. Again this year the band made their annual trip to Olivet for the Band Festival.

Spanish Club Although our club has decreased to nine, we still had a very successful year. We elected our officers which are: President... ..Margaret Linebaugh Vice President...... Gordon Kelly Secretary and Treasurer Elaine Champlain During the first few weeks of school, one of our classmates, Gayla Hendee, was striken with polio and had to leave us. In keeping with the example set last year by our Club, we again won first prize on our float in the Homecoming parade. This time we depicted a Spanish Market. Shown in this was a senor taking a siesta, many senoritas as the vendedoras, racks of blankets, flowers, pottery and even Spanish music. Some of our social events were, a hayride, a Christmas party and a skating party. Since our treasury was well stocked from last year, we only sold candy bars one day a week. We would like to thank Mrs. Piercefield for helping us during this successful year.
