LEFT TO RIGHT: J. Alexander, J. Buck, L. Swarthout. The cheerleaders have had a successful year under the direction of our sponsors Miss | VanderLeest and Miss Wells. On November 3, 1950, we sponsored the Annual Homecoming. Larry Swarthout was in charge of the parade. At night we gave the Homecoming Hop with Jerry Warren’s orchestra. There was a very good turn out. Cheerleaders On November 4, 1950, we went to the Indiana vs. State game. On November 11, 1950, we ventured to Ann Arbor to the University for a cheerleading clinic. We were shown different ways to lead a yell and how not to lead a yell. We also took part during half-time with two thousand other cheerleaders from Michigan. Jimmy Alexander, Larry Swarthout and Joe Buck were the boy cheerleaders during football season. |

This year the band and vocal groups presented a Minstrel Show on January 31 and Feb- ruary 1. It was enjoyed by all who attended. Again this year the band made their annual trip to Olivet for the Band Festival.
