Busy brunch-breaks, forfeited lunch hours, and frequent eleven-hour work days, rarely come as a surprise to English teacher, Sally DePaoli who unselfishly dedicates much of her time to her students. Mrs. DePaoli has been a member of the Porter- ville High School English Department for 13 years. Throughout those years she has consistently shown the enthusiasm, dedication, and patience which her students appreciate as much today as they did when she first began her teaching career. included in Mrs. DePaoIi's busy teaching sched- ule are classes in propaganda studies, creative writing, and journalism. lnvolved in her work, Mrs. DePaoli may often been seen amidst the turmoil of room T-4, tallying a propaganda poll, aiding a perplexed student, or inspiring her crea- tive writers to new heights. She has been nicknamed the elf by her jour- nalism students because of the late night hours she spends assisting them in their journalistic endeavors. More than a teacher, Mrs. DePaoli is a warm and sincere friend. For this we give her our special thanks. Dedication ' ' 5

5 JM X I 3, YI! ,11- Us cats really had an out-of-sight time during B-Bop week! From the very beginning there was never a dull moment. From real red lipstick, to duck-tail hair cuts: From full swirl skirts to rolled up jeans, Nostalgia week went swinging on. The dance contest was really nifty, Ole B-Bopping Beagle and Foxie Faller sure put down some groovy dance steps, they sure deserved to be the winners! Then us cats who went to the sock hop on Friday, really cut our- selves out to have a peachy time and boy did we. Too bad Elvis couldn't have been there to see us! All I can say is it was the grooviest, coolest, out-a-sight week that has ever hit P'vilIe High! Let's hope to see it again next year too! The sound of buzzing wheels and screeching screams started out homecoming week this year. G.A.A. sponsored the first event of the week, a skateboard race, which really got everyone excited! There were many Funny Faces made at the sack races, put on by F.F.A. That was one event that really went over with a leaping success. The Junior class got in the splash of things! They put on a water balloon toss which went over very wet! The week was brought to a close with the annual Powder Puff Football game sponsored by our great Student Council. The Sophomores and Freshmen vs. the Juniors and Seniors brought on a show that was just grrrreat!
