Graduation Marks the Beginning ofa New Life l On Saturday, June 7, 1975 at 4:00 P.lVl. , 246 seniors marched on- to the field at True-Lay Stadium to the tune of Pomp and Circumstance . The Reverend William Luoma gave the in- vocation, ,while the class sermon was delivered by Father Lawrence Scharf. The top students, Tom Coon and Ray lVloon along with senior class presi- dent, Bo Loeffler, were the featured class speakers. Diplomas were pre- sented by Richard Redfern, school board president. Before the benedic- tion, the class of 1975 bid farewell to their Alma Mater for the last time. A. At afternoon graduation rehearsal, lVIr. Walters discusses procedure with seniors Wendy Phalin and Bill Whit- field. B. Debbie Gresh and Tim Harnisch mingle with their friends before the ceremony begins. C. The seniors line up in order for the processional across the field. D. Father Lawrence Seharf presents his sermonette on accentuating the positive in life. E. Ray lVloon adjusts his tassel while presenting his co-valedictorian speech. F. Seniors enjoy one of the lighter moments of the ceremony. G. The Senior Class of 1975 con- gregates for the last time. 28

Guidance Department Expands This year's Guidance De- partment started out with new offices and an additional staff member, lVls. Alice Gillespie. Guidance offices moved from their previous site near the main offices to room 110. At the new location all three counselors enjoy private of- fices, an enlarged source re- ferences, and the aid of a secretary . A. ln a comfortable position lllls. Gillespie concentrates on her work. B. llllr. Brown looks over the many pamphlets available on colleges and jobs. C. Among her many duties as counselor, lVIiss Barber often advises post-graduate students 27
