Homecoming Highlights Football Season Homecoming is always the result of much hard work and prepara- tion that go on in the weeks be- fore. This year's homecoming was reigned over by Queen Olga Ybarra with first attendant Sharon Felber and second attendant Sue Shilling. The rest of the court was made up of Glenda Barnard, junior at- tendant, Lisa Lykens, sophomore attendant, and Sue Binns, fresh- man attendant. During the pre-game festivities, the prize-winning junior float was displayed with its theme, Next Stop: Victory . The senior float, Truck On, PCHS, gave them second place. The sophomore float, a colorful Donald Duck, was third, while the frosh float, Let's Nail 'Em, came in last. To complete the homecoming events, the football team came through with a 19-O win over Bowl- ing Green. 554121 f, , .4 .::... met , A. The pep assemblies this year were noted for their ability to bring out school spirit. The first pep assembly was a competition for the spirit jug, which is given to the class with the most all-around spirit. It was won by the Class of '76, but it changed hands many times during the year. Further pep assemblies boosted en- thusiasm for school sports through- out the year. The cheerleaders pre- sented skits and Warren Felber, re- presenting a Perkins Pirate, received a pie in the face at one. Assemblies show our teams that student support is with them. A. Football co-captain Hubert Tucker delivers a stirring pep talk as the team and Coach McClain look on in determination. ' B. In a burst of enthusiasm, seniors run out onto the gym floor to show their support by making a huddle. C. The frosh make a last-ditch effort to cap- ture the jug at the climax of Spirit Week, but are wiped out by sophomore spirit. 14 Assemblies Bring Spirit to PCI-IS . ,... 33 , is ,- . T W B. 1'
